How to Reserve a Domain on Namecheap and Launch a WordPress Blog on AWS EC2

Starting a blog can be a fun and rewarding way to share your thoughts, ideas, and expertise with the world. One of the first steps to creating your own blog is reserving a domain name and setting up a hosting service. In this article, I‘ll walk you through the process of reserving a domain on Namecheap and using it to launch a WordPress blog on Amazon Web Services (AWS) Elastic Compute Cloud (EC2).

Step 1: Reserve a Domain on Namecheap

  1. Visit Namecheap’s website: Go to https://www.namecheap.com/.
  2. Search for a domain: In the search bar, enter your desired domain name and hit “Search.” Namecheap will display a list of available domain extensions, along with their respective prices.
  3. Choose your domain: Select the domain extension you prefer and click on “Add to Cart.”
  4. Review your order: Click on the shopping cart icon at the top right corner of the page to review your order. Verify your domain selection and the duration of registration.
  5. Proceed to checkout: Click on “Checkout” and either sign in to your Namecheap account or create a new one.
  6. Complete payment: Fill in your payment and contact information, then click “Confirm Order.” After successful payment, your domain…
